Now that delivery has been made, some of us are starting new projects while...

some of us continue to work personal projects.

I added a new color to the One Chevron Scrap Cowl. Because I'm using sock weight yarn and tiny needles, this project will take some time before it's completed. If I didn't have seven other projects all going at the same time, I might be able to finish it faster but, as I've said before, I am NOT a monogamous knitter.

Susan attached some of her crocheted flower blocks together for the blanket she's making. She expects this to be a long time project but unlike me, she likes to work on something from cast on to finish before she starts a new project.

The nice thing about this blanket is the ability to carry it wherever she goes. So if she has a few minutes she can crochet a few rounds here and there.

Barbara is getting a head start on Christmas gifts starting with the Free Zaggity Hat, a free pattern on Ravelry. Later on in this post you'll see the cute pumpkin hat she made for a family member's baby.

Maria's colorful cowl looks so warm and cozy! She picked a great combination of yarns!

Gail and Rena are have their own little KAL (knit-a-long). Gail's sock is on the left and Rena's on the right. They are using the exact same yarns, even the same dye lot but look at the difference between the yarn in a skein and once it's knitted! You never know what wonderful results you'll get unless there's a picture on the label.

Rena is also wrapping up work on her Mock Cable Hat, the pattern which she acquired for free from Michael's Craft Store.

Debra has started a mitten on her double pointed needles, DPs to a seasoned knitter. ;)

Edgar is still practicing how to relax when he crochets. His stitches are a little tight but it takes time to brush up on the technique. Patience is the key!

Keiko stuffed the toy snake and as you can see, it's as long as her couch! She has another eye to attach and finishing touches to apply. The afternoon started out for her checking patterns for supplies required and checking to see if the yarn she has will be appropriate for the project she has chosen to knit.
Gerry worked on her green crocheted afghan. She already made one like this so she knows what lies ahead for her.

Karen has chosen the yarns to be used for some washcloths to give as gifts to the people
who helped her with her recent move.

Bob added a new color yarn to his blanket of pretty autumn colors.

And Jim is adding the next to last color on the car blanket he's crocheting for a friend. His plan is to add a band of black around all the edges for a finishing touch.

Lu continued to knit blocks which will eventually become either blankets or scarves when attached.

a purse! Gerry told me he learned to crochet just about 6 months ago and now there's no stopping him!

Barbara added a cute little pumpkin hat to her gift collection for family. The Yet Another Cable Hat- Pumpkin calls for worsted weight yarn which is what she used. However, she thought this hat was much smaller than the measurements given in the pattern. It turns out this brand of yarn is a lightweight worsted which changes the gauge of the knitting. As much as I hate to admit it, sometimes knitting a swatch is a good idea. It's still an adorable hat!

Last but certainly not least is Gerry's completed ensemble she made as a gift for a family member. The self striping yarn adds so much for so little effort!
Bless those clever people who thought of it!

If anyone is interested, this weekend is the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival in Greenwich, NY. I look forward to this every year as it's easily navigated and not as large or overwhelming as the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival also known as Rhinebeck. I need more yarn like I need a hole in the head but hey, I get to spend time with friends in the fresh air and give thanks to the furry and hairy friends who share their fiber with me (the sheep and alpaca not people LOL!).
Until next time, have a great week and keep those needles clicking!
