I arrived a little later than usual today due to all the rain and crazy traffic so when I looked in the room there was an unfamiliar face. This is Heidi, our newest Stitch Angel. And she already knew Yvonne so they sat together and chatted about all things knitting.

Luckily, Heidi likes to knit baby clothes and since our current project is for the Troy Head Start Program, she already has a head start (pun intended). She is making the Girl's Lacy Sun Hat, a free pattern on Ravelry, using a self patterning yarn that takes all the work out of color work knitting. Yvonne finished another 2x2 hat using yarns that make it look tweedy.
We're having heavy rains in the area so it was nice to see a good turn out today.

Edgar is working on his corner to corner blanket and will soon need to transfer to a larger circular needle to accommodate all the stitches which are accumulating. He would like to make it large enough for his bed so he has a way to go.

Bob hasn't run out of orange yarn yet!

I finally finished the baby sweater and couldn't find a button I liked so I made one out of yarn. I used this YouTube tutorial which makes a very sturdy button out of the same yarn I used for the sweater and hat. The sweater is from this pattern and the hat is from this one.

My current project is the Throwback Pixie Hood but unfortunately, the pattern is no longer available. It's a good thing I printed out a copy!

Janna added to her Dasha Blanket using Mirasol Llama Yarn in the most beautiful color green. This photo doesn't do justice to the rich green.

Pat is knitting the same pattern using a jumbo skein of Caron Yarn in the prettiest color combination!
Jim's scarf is taking shape.

Do you remember the project Darwin has been crocheting these past few months? He surprised Gerry and gave it to her to wear as a shawl! She was so pleased!

Now he's working on another video game character inspired project.

Gerry keeps adding blocks to her project.

Charlene forgot her knitting and didn't want to head out into the rain again so she took the afternoon to read magazines about her other passion, gardening. Maria's corner to corner blanket is going to be rectangular rather than square. And Pam is almost finished with the second sleeve of her pullover sweater.
Tina started an 1898 Hat which begins with a provisional cast on for the ear flap section. She completed and blocked her first lace project ever, a lovely shawl for a friend. She did a fabulous job! And her bunny makes a good model for her finished Owlie Sleep Sack and Hat.
Athena added a few more rounds to her blanket. She alternates the white rounds with the earth tone rounds for a patch work look.

The rain is supposed to continue another day so I might have to put my knitting aside and start building an ark. I'll let you know when it's done so you can join me.
Have a great week and keep those needles clicking!
