Welcome to another new Angel

We welcomed a new Stitch Angel today. This is Tina and she is an avid crocheter who would like to learn how to knit as well.

She has the know-how to take a YouTube tutorial to crochet the strawberry stitch and turn it into a granny square so her skills are very good. If she can do that, she can knit too.

It was a small group today compared to the last few weeks but no less fun or productive.

Athena has a skein and a half of yarn left to crochet on her blanket. She was all decked out in green for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

Ceil finished knitting her Fiber Friends Shawl and has the ends to be woven and a thorough blocking ahead of her. The blocking process will even out the stitches and make the fabric lay flat, giving it a professional finish.

Rena finished two baby blankets. She spent the afternoon weaving the ends on both. The basket weave blanket was a pattern from the book pictured below. The blue and pink blanket is a corner to corner pattern from Ravelry.

My personal project is the Easy Scarf by Martina Behm. There wasn't much yarn left after I bound off the last stitch. It was a close game of yarn chicken! I wore it today but when it's wrapped around my neck you can't see the way the colors change direction. My donation knitting just started but it's just boring ribbing for the beginning of the Apiarist Cowl.

Barbara started a Top Down Raglan Child's Cardigan. She chose to add stripes to an otherwise solid background.

Jim worked steadily on his blanket and has plans to change to a family of purples for his next color change.

Gail worked on her Sophie Scarf using a two tone technique.

And when Ceil finished weaving in the ends on her shawl, she switched to her Sophie Scarf in this beautiful electric blue cashmere blend yarn.

Kathy had a collection of spring colored beads which brightened up this rainy day.

Missy put her granny square kerchief in time out because it was giving her a hard time. ;) So she is starting a new project with an adorable crochet hook. Missy lets her yarn speak to her so she isn't sure what this will be at this time.

Janna is working on the folded brim of the Dart and Dash Beanie. She uses a yarn bowl so the ball of yarn won't go rolling across the room as she knits.

Keiko is just starting the Red Drizzle infinity scarf. It is knit lengthwise and then the short ends are seamed together to make and endless scarf which can be wrapped more than once around the neck.

Eileen wore a beautiful green poncho from Ireland which was gifted to her, perfect for this weekend wear!

She's made lots of progress on her cabled hat since we last saw it.

Even though she couldn't attend today, Gerry sent a picture of her crocheted shawl that she finished a few weeks ago. I wonder what she'll make next.

Welcome again to Tina and we look forward to working together with you.

Have a great week and keep those needles clicking! Hooks too!
