We had to add chairs

We had to scooch over to add a few chairs to accommodate the 19 Stitch Angels today. The room was bubbling with energy as everyone worked on their projects.
Barbara brought her FOs for our inventory starting with two sizes of the Tin Can Knits Beloved bonnet. She used Berroco Comfort yarn for a soft, machine washable hat.

The yellow set is the Bethany Pixie Bonnet and Angelita Baby Bolero Jacket. The green sweater is the Garter Yoke Baby Cardi and the blue is the Top Down Raglan Baby Sweater By Carole Barenys. She started another Top Down Raglan in a pretty, bright turquoise blue.

Ceil added some length to her Corner to Corner Blanket. Slow and steady progress is the way to go.

Tina finished her 1898 Hat and has ideas for a variegated yarn she purchased yesterday on our field trip to WEBS in Massachusetts for the preview of their annual tent sale. We had much better luck finding machine washable, child friendly colors on this trip.

Athena learned how to attach the rounds of her crocheted blanket using a SC stitch instead of sewing it together.

Pat's Dasha Blanket looks lovely in colors that remind us both of the American Southwest.

Jim's scarf is taking on a shape of its own.

Allison finished her colorful variegated block and started another in yellow.

In between conversations and helping with knitting and crochet questions, I managed to knit a few rows on my Throwback Pixie Hood.

Edgar concentrates so hard on his knitting. But I think he's found what works for him. Knitting seems to have come to him more easily than crochet.

Yvonne's blanket grows slowly too. I don't think the person who doesn't knit or crochet understands the time, effort, and skills it takes to make something from two sticks and some string or a hook and string. A blanket could take months to complete!

Gail is still working on the Benjamin Matthews hat, Among the Wildflowers.

Gerry helped Allison untangle her yarn so she could crochet her square.

And Bob finished the orange yarn and has added a deep charcoal one.

Debra F started another cable blanket with the self patterning yarn that creates a sweet little flower design.

Tomasa started a pair of socks but changed the yarn weight from what the pattern recommended. The original calls for worsted weight but she found it made the sock very thick and rigid so she dropped it down to a DK weight and found it makes a nicer fabric. The pattern is called Rye from Tin Can Knits.

Peggy is back after a short time missing and dove right back into her sweater, a pattern that she got from her mother-in-law over 40 years ago.

Margareta used a sock weight yarn to knit the Sophie Scarf. She picked up a few pointers on how to increase a stitch without distorting the I-cord edge. The original pattern says to kfb the last stitch of the I-cord but I found it pulls the stitch out of shape. I used a backwards thumb cast on or just do the kfb on the fourth stitch in instead of the stitch which is part of the I-cord. Her yarn created quite an interesting pooling effect.

Charlene is working on a larger size Norwegian Fir cardigan for her granddaughter.

Janna's DASHA Blanket is finished and you can see she started another one already using that lovely teal Llama yarn.

That's all there is for this week. Hope you are having nice weather wherever you are. And keep those needles clicking!
