We are outgrowing our space

There were 21 Angels in attendance today!

And that wasn't even the whole group! This is great but we're running out of space. We might have to reconfigure the table arrangement to accommodate everyone. We've started our next project for the residents of St. Anne's Institute in Albany so we'll be making items for girls ages 12 to 18.

Debra returned after a long absence. That's her in the blue sweater at the right of the group picture above. It felt good to welcome her back. She's working on a hat called Kit Kat Hat.

She's using an acrylic, machine washable yarn and is about halfway finished already. The little points will have tassles or pompoms attached at each corner.

Keiko pulled her scarf out of the project bag which pulled some stitches off the needle so she had to spend time rescuing them and putting them back on the needle.

Been there, done that!

I'm making a cowl with a lace stitch which I thought I had memorized only to find out that when I began the round I was two stitches off count. Not to worry, I managed to get back on track after tinking back a few stitches.

Last week Athena started a blanket for her manager and this week she showed us how much progress she made.

Her plan is to embroider the recipient's name on the blanket using these bright colors.

Last weekend was her birthday for which she received this self striping yarn. Her plan is to crochet another blanket.

Jim is working on a blanket too. He ran out of dark green yarn and found this cheerful lime green yarn that looks great with the darker green.

Lisa, on the near right, helped Kathy, in the purple hoodie, select just the right beads for her necklace.

Missy worked on her crochet headband which is comprised of small granny squares which will be attached to each other.

Our Queen of Loom Knitting used a fluffy chenille yarn to make her project.

And Bob's blanket continues to grow larger each week.

Gail is knitting a two tone Sophie Scarf. Just above it is her completed Helix Hat.

Ceil loves this yarn so much she decided to make another shawl using the same colorway. Do you think I could remember the name of it? Rainbow something...maybe.

Anyway, this is the shawl she's making, Storm by Joji Locatelli.

Rena's corner to corner blanket is growing each week. The pretty pastel yarn is a machine washable acrylic, perfect for a baby blanket.

Charlene is back after a long absence and she's working on matching sweaters for her baby granddaughters to go with their Easter outfits.

Debra is building quite a collection of dishcloths to donate to Grassroot Givers.

Barbara's Moose Balaclava is almost finished. The ribbing around the face has to be knitted so an I-cord can be threaded through.

Cinzia started a pair of socks from the toe up. She wants to learn how to knit two at a time on magic loop but didn't want to futz around with trying to cast on to the magic loop needle. So she started both the toes separately and will transfer them to the long circular needle after she finishes the increases to the instep.

Janna has reached the halfway mark on her Easy Scarf using self striping yarn. This pattern looks best with long, slow changing colored yarn that enhances the directional changes in the pattern.

Pam's Spring Fling Scarf is far enough along to see how nicely the sock yarn pattern is presenting in the pattern. There are rows of eyelets interspersed to make an easy lace and the last row will finish off with a pretty picot edge.

Gail is working on a hat which has a folded up brim in the red yarn and the charcoal gray will become the crown of the hat. It's going to be a warm one!

Julie joined her friends Athena, Jim, Bob,Terry, Kathy, Lisa, and Missy for the first time today. She spent time creating her masterpiece on canvas.

My kitty, Fozzie, is sneaking up on me to remind me it's his dinner time. So before he starts

tapping me on the leg, I'll wish you all a great week ahead and keep those needles clicking!
