The Stitch Angels has quite a group of regulars

We had a whopping 19 Angels in attendance today! And just before we started, I had an inquiry about the group from someone who was just passing through and saw our sign. So we might be adding to the membership again!

That says volumes about how friendly and welcoming everyone is.

Each one of us works at our own pace...some referring back to video tutorials, others needing to untangle yarn barf, and still others checking the patterns carefully.

Pat checked out her pattern to see what to make next while...

Mike picked up a gazillion stitches along the neckline of the pullover sweater. He learned how to knit magic loop and has already knitted one sleeve that way and is well on his way to finishing the ribbing around the neckline using the same technique.

I think he's convinced it's better than juggling DP's.

After a long absence, Yoshi has returned and I'm so happy she finally got to meet Keiko. They didn't know each other before today but they hit it off immediately.

It warmed my heart to see them working together. I was also relieved that we could communicate with Keiko more easily with someone who could translate the hard stuff!

Yoshi knitted sweet pairs of mittens and adorned them with her lovely crochet and embroidery skills.

Janna set in place some adorable flower stitch markers to alert her when she has to decrease stitches to shape the crown of her Helix Hat.

Debra finished weaving in the ends of these adorable mittens called "Mittens for Sven" (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mittens-for-sven).

She has the patience of a saint to knit such tiny Fair Isle mittens!

Athena worked diligently on her crocheted doily...

As did Bob, working on his colorful afghan. He's been wearing holiday themed t-shirts the past few weeks which go well with his cheerful grin!

Karen had to do some calculations before she could get started with her knitting. There is quite a bit of math involved in planning a project if you want a garment to fit properly and don't want to run out of yarn.

Some of us are blessed with the ability to make it work no matter what. Carol is making a scarf or a table runner, whichever comes first. ;)

Charlene bought some lovely hand dyed fingering weight yarn at a trunk show over the summer and is turning it into a cowl for her daughter.

Pam is working on another pair of socks with some great self striping/patterning yarn.

Yvonne is knitting a dishcloth with a raised pattern of a frog.

The frog's leg is just beginning to show up in the stitch work.

Gail's hat is called the DecisionTreeToque

She was concerned that the pattern wasn't looking the same as the picture but sometimes you have to knit a few more inches before you see the whole design emerge.

Barbara worked on the cuff of the Auckland Bound (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/auckland-bound)

hat which starts with a provisional cast on, that's the white yarn, which then folds inside to create a double thick cuff. The live stitches that are held by the white yarn are picked up and knitted together with the stitches on the needle. No sewing required!

Kathy and Aniyah (I'm sorry if I botched the spelling of your lovely name) worked in tandem stringing beads for Kathy to sell at her craft fairs.

Gerry completed a crocheted scarf/shawl using a soft acrylic yarn

called Mandala from Lion Brand.

She liked it so much that she started another one!

On my needles are two pieces of the vest called Vinkel

I'm knitting them simultaneously so they will be identical in size to make it easier to piece them together.

Well, I better get back to my knitting so I can reduce my number of WIP's.

I think I have five active projects currently in the line.

(pay no mind to the two sitting in the back of the cabinet);)

Have a great week and keep those needles clicking!
