The Stitch Angels are busy as bees preparing for winter

We had to keep adding chairs as people arrived as we weren't quite prepared for the large turnout today. And the vacationers haven't all arrived home yet. There might have to be more tables in our setup.

Cinzia forgot the needles she needed to work on her project so she stepped in to help Athena work on a special project. For her wedding next summer, Athena wants to crochet little animals she found in kits to leave as table favors. She started with a cute little teddy bear and also has a bunny.

I'm working on a double thick reversible hat called Musselburgh. I chose to knit the first half of the hat using a Helix method combining three different sock yarns for crazy stripes but I didn't have a solid sock yarn for the second half. Gail came to the rescue with a bag of choices and as usual, ask ten different people and you'll get ten different answers. The general consensus was the purple, the red, and the deep blue were favorites. I finally chose the purple. Another 1.5 inches of stripes and then I'll be able to knit the solid colored half.

Yvonne put aside her cotton wash cloths to work on a 2X2 ribbed cap with a folded brim. She's using an easy to machine wash and dry acrylic yarn. She is very close to the top when she will start decreasing for the crown.

Barbara is using her own hand dyed yarn to make the Gefion sweater, a sweet little top down, seamless pullover with eyelet detailing on the bodice. The pattern is free on Ravelry.

Keiko picked up stitches to knit the second cuff of her Valentine's Day mitten that she designed herself. She wants to hold hands with her husband inside the mitten so she's making it big enough for two!

Barbara has been instrumental in helping Keiko bring her design to life. Keiko brought in the sketch and she and Barbara worked out the schematics.

Keiko's notes are in both English and Japanese.

Carol worked on her Mistake Stitch Scarf for the upcoming yarn bombing in November when we hang warm woolies from the trees and benches for anyone who is cold to take.

Gail is still working on her Morton Cowl and managing the work more easily now that her injured finger is on the mend.

I know I've posted the name of Ceil's shawl before but can't remember the name. I know it has something to do with spring...or summer...I KNOW! Endless summer shawl

Debra spent her time weaving in ends on her finished Newborn Top Down Cardigan. The little cables on the button band are very easy to knit and do not require a cable needle.

Terry was able to fix the shawl she was working on last week and is back on track, nearing the end. Bob decided to bring his coloring instead of knitting this week to exercise his creativity. And Jim was checking out his stitches as he worked on his combination crochet and knit project.

Geri started a new crochet project with two fabulous green yarns.

She found the pattern online and decided to give it a try. The knot in the center is crocheted and then woven into place, with stitches picked up along the edge to finish off the square.

She was showing Cinzia how the piece is constructed.

It shouldn't be a problem for her since she made this lovely doily and....

a beautiful blanket for her niece.

Janna has a third baby hat on her needles.

This one will have purple detailing around the brim.

Cinzia graciously offered to model the leaf scarf I made from the pattern called Waldkind. I'm working on a matching leaf headband to pair with it.

As I look to my left, there is Fozzie patiently waiting to be fed. If I don't get his food soon he will start tapping my leg and finally as a last ditch effort to get my attention, he will chew any wires he can reach.

So to avoid having him electrocute himself, I will end here and wish you a good week ahead and as always....keep those needles clicking!
