It was a teaching day

It was a busy day of teaching Jim and Edgar how to knit garter stitch. Jim has knitted before but it's been quite a while so he needed a refresher. Edgar just started knitting last week so he needed guidance with reading a pattern and interpreting the abbreviations.
Everyone else worked independently on their projects.

Alison has made great strides with her crochet. She and Gerry are collaborating on a project, each making squares to be sewn together. Alison is quite creative and wanted to show me the bunny wreath she made in her other craft group. She assembled it from fabric tubes and cardboard cutouts adorned with fabric flowers.
Athena made a few more rounds of crochet to add to her blanket.

Barbara started a sweet little cardigan called YngridCardigan, a free pattern on Ravelry. She is using a bright, cheery yellow acrylic yarn. Last week she started the Double Rib Toddler Hat which is already finished.
Pam has added a sleeve to her pullover. She is using DP's to knit seamlessly in the round.

My sweater is also getting some sleeves but I'm too lazy to knit them separately so I'm using two at a time on magic loop. The Knit Baby Jacket Set is a free pattern on Ravelry.

Maria frogged her blanket...again. Somewhere along the way she missed some stitches and between the two of us, we couldn't figure out how to repair it without ripping it out.

Gail said she hasn't made much progress since last week but Ceil is almost ready to start her second skein of yarn. Tomasa is knitting a raglan pullover.
Debra F is working on her Mixed Rib Beanie, another freebie on Ravelry.

Tina started the Owlie Sleep Sack which uses cables to create little owl adornments at the edge. The last picture is where she is setup to knit a 2 stitch cable.
Karen has Icelandic wool which she is using to make a bag which she will felt in hot water and soap in her washing machine. Bob added a vibrant new color to his blanket.
Gerry finished her crocheted baby blanket and gave it a sweet scalloped edging all around. The chenille yarn she used makes it a cozy lovey for the lucky baby.

That's all for now. Have a great week and keep those needles clicking!
