It's starting to feel like autumn

The last few days have been beautiful as far as sun during the day and cool breezes at night.

And you can see the start of the leaves changing color too.

And now that the sun is a little lower in the sky, we get great lighting spilling into our meeting room.

Next Friday we will be delivering our donations to Community Maternity Services in Albany so a few of us took the time to attach labels ahead of the mad rush next week. Rena made a stack of gorgeous basket weave blankets and Debra made some adorable Teddy Bears and socks, mittens, and hats.
Athena finished the last row of red crochet and is ready to add a white stripe. Terry is almost out of green yarn for her loom knitted scarf. And Gerry put aside her crochet to help Terry. This group is a great bunch! Any time someone hits a snag, there's always someone stepping up to lend a helping hand.
Mike has just begun a scarf for his wife with a variegated yarn he bought from WEBS in Northampton, Massachusetts. If you have never visited you're missing something! It's like Disneyland for fiber artists!

The shawl pattern is called Sweet Tango and is a purchased pattern online and at the store.

Pam planned ahead too and labeled all her adorable baby items for next week.

Keiko worked on her double-fisted mitten while we used Google Translate to help her understand what she was doing. I give her a lot of credit. Not only is she learning how to knit but she's learning to speak English at the same time!

Barbara started another baby hat. This one has two Latvian Braids to adorn the crown.

The Tiny Lantern hat is available for free on Ravelry.

Gail is slowly making progress on her Morton Cowl...

While Janna started another baby hat...

To add to her collection of sweet baby hats.

I completed the Stacia Bonnet which will be part of an ensemble for mother and baby. The scarf and headband for the mother has a leaf motif so this baby hat worked perfectly.

Jim worked on his blanket which is getting wider as he adds rows so he brought a longer set of needles to accommodate all the stitches.

Last week I showed you the color yarn Gail gave me so I could complete the reversible hat and this week you can see how nicely it makes the colors pop! The needles I'm using are a size 2 with sock weight yarn so this is taking me forever to finish. I have until November 17 when we will hold our annual "Yarn Bombing" in front of the library to complete it.

So I better say "Keep those needles clicking!" and get back to work! Have a great week!
