Karen, in the gorgeous goldenrod sweater which she knitted, is a friend of Cinzia. Cinzia introduced me to her when we met at the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival a few weeks ago and now we welcomed her to the choir of Angels today.

She is working on a lovely cabled headband called Woven Cabled Headband, a free pattern on Ravelry. She is using a blended yarn of acrylic and merino wool so it will be machine washable as well as warm.

Everyone was busy finishing up their projects for next week's yarn bombing.

Gail worked the crown of the Antler Toque and wove in the ends in time for Ceil to model it for us. It's a beautiful hat and a free pattern on Ravelry too.
Kathy strung beads while Darwin and Missy worked on their crochet projects. Athena finished her striped blanket and is starting a hat with blue and white yarn.
Bob finished his beautiful colorful blanket and brought it in to show us.

Now he's working on another brightly colored blanket.

Ceil is in the home stretch of Ripples Make Waves Hat, a pattern from the designer Casapinka. This is another freebie on Ravelry.

Barbara is combining two colors to knit the 22.5 Degrees Shawl from Martina Behm. Another free pattern, this one finishes off with a lovely scalloped edge that looks like crochet but is knitted.

I finished a cowl the other day and immediately cast on for a hat. The cowl is a mishmash of patterns that started out as the Hepsi's Neck Warmer but I changed up the design at the shoulders.

The hat, which is still quite small, is a 2X2 ribbed cap called Soldier's Hat. The pattern is great tv knitting which doesn't require paying attention until the last few rows.

Yvonne and Gail were discussing the hat on Yvonne's needles. The pattern shows a single stripe...

at the top of the crown, interrupting the lovely cable design.

Yvonne decided not to follow the directions so she will make the hat a solid rich cranberry. That's the nice thing about knitting, you can do pretty much whatever works for you.

Gail helped out some of the other Angels by weaving in the ends on finished items. This is Yvonne's finished hat. Gail also wove ends for Debra on some mittens. I have a few projects that need finishing off too. Hmmm...I wonder...LOL!

Pam started the cast on for a Musselburgh Hat. It's a very fiddly beginning so once she was a few rounds in, she put it aside for something more relaxing.

Rena's bulky weight hats are flying off the needles in time for next week.

And like most of us, she has another project going simultaneously.
This is a square for a baby blanket.

Cinzia continues to work on the Reversible Stripes Scarf in spite of the fact that it's boring her to tears. It will be done by the time the yarn bombing happens but then I think she's putting all scarf patterns on the back burner for a while. They look like a fun project but then it's miles and miles of the same thing. She deserves a good rest after this one.

Maggie is the Queen of Mittens! She uses every bit of scrap yarn she can find and puts it to good use making all sizes of colorful projects.
We have one more week to complete our projects for the yarn bombing next Friday, November 17. Pray we have good weather while we hang our items from trees and benches for the neighborhood to share. In the meantime, keep those needles clicking!
